Do you want to take better photos?

September 24th, 2008 by Dan Bodenstein

The internet is full of web sites that offer tips for helping you take better photos. One site that stands out in my opinion is Digital Photography School. Not only do they have a beginners section, they offer daily tips emails to help you keep motivated and informed.

They have an open forum, an “Assignment of the week” section, and a critique section. Check out this weeks assignment and see if you’re up to the challenge. If not, check out some of their tutorial articles and learn everything from the basics to tips from the pros.

There is a very intersting section called “How I took it”, which allows users to post an image, and explain “how” they took the photo. The equipment used, along with exposure, lens information and more, are presented along with the photo.

Photography is an art, and like a great painter, you need the right tools for your craft. Digital Photography School can help you learn to use those tools and help you capture that perfect shot.

Daily Wisdom

"In my mind's eye, I visualize how a particular... sight and feeling will appear on a print. If it excites me, there is a good chance it will make a good photograph. It is an intuitive sense, an ability that comes from a lot of practice." - Ansel Adams"
