So I started a blog

September 20th, 2008 by Dan Bodenstein

For a long time now people have been saying, “Dan, you should show off your photographs.” Well I setup my Flickr account and I get a lot of comments, but I wanted to start something different where I can spotlight some photos while still sharing all the photos I take.

I also wanted a place where I can journal some feeling about things in nature I encounter. So i’ve started this blog using the domain name… Naturocity.com

Naturocity : The art of loving nature.

I think that sums it up for me. Loving nature is something many of us do, but then there are those who take advantage of nature, or completely disrespect it. Here in Florida people occasionally get an alligator in their back yard. Their first reaction is “It’s in my backyard.” But think about that statement for a moment. Way back when, this was their territory, it was their home. We filled in some muck, and then built cities and roads. So is it really OUR backyard, or is it their old backyard and they are just checking to see what’s up with it.

Next time you’re reluctant to kill an animal for being on your so called property, think twice. After all, you may be living where their ancestrial home may have been.

Walk in peace with nature.
